Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does Acupuncture hurt?

Unlike the needles used to give injections, the needles used for acupuncture are extremely thin, only two to three times the width of a single hair. Acupuncture needles are designed to enter the skin with least resistance. For protection, all needles are pre-sterilized and individually wrapped.

2. How quickly will I respond?

Acute problems like a sore throat can often be resolved in one or two sessions. With chronic problems, many patients will see significant results within 4 to 6 treatments. The total number of treatments depends upon the severity of a person's condition, how long the condition has existed and the patient's overall health, energy and motivation to make lifestyle changes.
